Air-E Company, Intervention, perseveres in its frontal offensive against electricity theft in Barranquilla and various municipalities of Atlántico.
In its latest operation, the company discovered new instances of illegal connections in several commercial establishments and farms, highlighting the alarming persistence of this unlawful practice in the region.
In Barranquilla, one noteworthy case involved a mechanical workshop located on Calle 38 between Carrera 26, where agents identified a burned meter. Furthermore, within the facility, a meter was found with an unauthorized display, indicating tampering.
Another situation arose at a shop on Calle 48 near Carrera 5B, also in the southern area of Barranquilla, where manipulation of the utility meter was detected. Such infractions exemplify the risks posed by careless actions that can compromise safety.
Commercial establishments are among the identified cases of illegal connections.

Additionally, in a commercial establishment specializing in mobile phones and various types of technology situated on 34th Street of Carrera 45, officials identified measurement equipment showing signs of unauthorized use of tools.
Meanwhile, a supplies store located near Diagonal 88 on Carrera 1e in the Santo Domingo de Guzmán district was also flagged for irregularities, with an electronic meter found having its main connection tampered with.
In another instance near Sector 43 Racas at 45th Street, a direct service was established with a meter that was found to be damaged due to removable equipment issues.

Cases in Soledad, Santo Tomás, and Sanecurí
In the billiards hall located at 18C Carrera with 81 Street in the second stage of the Almendros en Soledad district, it was discovered that the service was directly connected without a meter.
Similarly, at a bakery on 56th Street with 32 in the Las Gaviotas de Soledad neighborhood, officials found a meter that showed signs of manipulation. Furthermore, in a shopping center in Santo Tomás, damaged measurement equipment was discovered, further underscoring the extent of the issue.
Additionally, on the Sapurí highway, particularly at kilometer 5, a direct service was identified without a meter and without billing, directly connected to a 75 kVA transformer.
«Fluid fraud is a typical offense under the Penal Code, as well as the illegal manipulation of electrical networks and infrastructure, posing significant risks to public safety,» the company stated in a communication.
